Building A Song From Scratch

This session is a behind the scenes look, and song breakdown of what can happen in a new and successful collaboration. The goal? To create a dark and cinematic song with artist, Tabitha Meeks.

Even though her genre isn't typically Mike's production style, they found a perfect way to create a great song. Mike shows how to create an initial blueprint structure for the artist to create with, that doesn't box them in. You'll see how the idea was formed, up to the time of adding secondary hooks and finishing out the production after vocals were recorded.
